Today I decided to play with a couple of techniques and, instead of Upsy Daisy, chose Inspired By Nature. I like the look of marbled tile so, it made sense to me to try combining polished stone and faux tile grid techniques. Here’s what I did: I used Glossy White cardstock and scored it into one inch sections. Then I did the polished stone technique with Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Metallic Gold reinker. I heat set it and sprayed with aerosol hairspray. I inked the image with Chocolate Chip ink and stamped on top of the polished stone. (I think it would’ve worked better if I had stamped the image before spraying the hairspray.) Next, I used VersaMark to cover the complete image and embossed with Crystal Clear embossing powder to give it shine.
I trimmed the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch and layered with Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used Kiwi Kiss cardstock for the card base. The sentiment is from Fundamental Phrases and stamped with Chocolate Chip ink onto Chocolate Chip cardstock. I punched it out with the Word Window punch and wrapped it around the tile.
